New History 04:13
NEW HISTORY: Heard the lines, tales of design Unfold, with fool’s gold We can write, our own new history In time, we can find, a way, to control our fate Re-learn how, to live now Unburden your burdens We can write, our own new history In time, we will find, a way, to control our fate...our fate...And write it on the page We will write, our own new history This time, we have found a way and I, am yours and you are mine I am yours. You are mine
2.
ATHEISTS IN A FOXHOLE: Pinned down, the battle surrounds, now Cry out for help, looking to the clouds In dire times, crossing moral lines Adaptive faith will fall upon deaf ears Of a god you claim in haste when death is near No sound, blackness surrounds, now Call out for help, no one to be found In dire times, there is no light Adaptive faith will fall upon deaf ears Of a god you claim in haste when death is near Now Adaptive faith will fall upon deaf ears Of a god you claim in haste when death is clear Death is clear. Death is clear.

Bellwether 03:28
BELLWETHER: Vanity, in a two dimensional screen Fight for your relevance Among the herd A facade for zealots in your momentary turn Egoist, aim the lens upon your face Superficial messages, so frivolous A storied impermanence, your time is up Who, are the leaders now? Who, will show us how To think for ourselves With the products on shelves Are you the new leader now? The Bellwether dows Hanging on, to your every move and Damning you, to steady your views A culpability, profile of infamy Sell an apology, but we’re through with you Who, are the leaders now? Who, will show us how To think for ourselves With the products on shelves Are you the new leader now? The Bellwether dows
4.
UNDER THE JESTER CROWN: We all, have had a turn, to watch the cities burn, ignited by a callow clown We all have seen the words, that we cannot unlearn, even though they drag us down We are, not “great again”, and we must make amends, while the jester wears the crown. Mortified, what have we become? More to find, if we open up our eyes Speak loud, and cut through all the sound. A million voices can’t be silenced, can we break up all the violence under the crown, under the crown. We try, to give benefit, of doubt to congressmen, how can we move ahead When lies, will surely come, through an oligarchy hum, decipher dialogue Cut ties, with the harlequin, and let’s begin again, remove the jester crown Pull down the crown Mortified, what have we become More to find, if we open up our eyes, Speak loud, and cut through all the sound. A million voices can’t be silenced, if we break up all the violence under the crown, under the crown Pull down the crown

IDOL FAILURES Dreaming to be In the vicinity of a deity Their signature or picture Like well-regarded scripture Glorify through your teeth Frame your mind seeing idols unrefined Flawed like everyone With faulty paradigms Do not be dismayed, their Failures are lessons for you and I The adage says idols are frayed They are bound to have feet made of clay Lionize them Patronize them Glorify them or you could just Frame your mind seeing idols unrefined Flawed like everyone With faulty paradigms Do not be dismayed, their Failures are lessons for you and I Say what you will (Say what you will) They will fail you (Fail You) Say what you will (Say what you will) They will fail you Frame your mind seeing idols unrefined Flawed like everyone With faulty paradigms Do not be dismayed, their Failures are lessons for you and I Do not be dismayed Idol failures are lessons For you and I

Marrow 03:41
MARROW Wanderlust for marrow Wound enough to harrow Wounded by an arrow From the archer of love Aimed from above Lady Luck found me, claim her bounty, collect the reward Move on the jilted prey Archer of love Found trust in my marrow No reason to harrow Wounded by an arrow From the archer of love Aimed from above Lady Luck found me, claiming her bounty, collect the reward Move on to the lonely prey Archer of love Calloused, from malice Wounded by an arrow Oh, the archer of love Shot from above Lady Luck found me, claiming her bounty, collect the reward Move on to the stranded prey Archer of love Our hands hold a sparrow Unpin the arrow You are the marrow

TABLEAU OF VIOLENCE: From a fantasy onscreen To a desolated scene Trapped within a melancholic dream Tunnel vision, on a mission Pull the hammer back and Fire desperation Go, take out the foe Obey the disorder in tow Show a violent tableau Of annihilation and woe. Fire! Trembling hands upon the frame Of a cannon taking aim Before the ammunitions lay their claim When the bullet leaves the barrel Surroundings are in peril Consciousness of guiltiness is sterile Go, take down the foe Obeying the orders in tow Show a violent tableau Of annihilation and woe. Fire!
8.
CANCER MERCHANT: You got a sickness down to the core Needles and capsules, for your war Whatever you want, whatever you need Whatever it takes to keep you clean Just sign, on the dotted line Just buy, oh the end is nigh You got a weakness down to your core Pick out your poison and have some more Whatever you want, whatever you need Whatever it takes to keep you seen Your spine, is on the decline You signed, oh the end is nigh Your spine, is on the decline Your time, to cross the line Your spine, is on the decline You signed so cross the line

PANACEAN ROMANCE: Ladies and gentlemen Placing bets on a losing hand Push the chips all in They’re gonna buy in again anyway Waxing adrenaline Throw one back and fill it again Until anesthetized Romantic poison to feel alive Romanticize, Cannibalize Desensitize, Anesthetize The sweet and savory Contagion comes with slavery Virus beneath the skin Lies in wait to deteriorate Ladies and gentlemen Placed their bets on another hand Pushed the chips all in No hesitation to habituate Romanticize, Cannibalize Desensitize, Anesthetize

Factions 02:06
FACTION Form a rally, build the signs Spend your dollars and your time For a cause and mass applause But the candidate has given pause You may, come to rue the day When a nomination turns to aberration. But you stay, within the moral gray, and cherry pick what fits for your display? Tune in daily, check the polls Truth and lies are being sold Two factions calling for action Others wading in distraction You may, come to rue the day When a nomination turns to aberration. Will you stay, within the moral gray, and cherry pick what fits for your display Call to action Gain some traction Call to action Choose your faction Call to action Cast your faction

WE GUILT THIS CITY: Point left. Point right. Blaming anyone outside the hive mind. Unwound. Scroll down. And type your bullshit that nobody cares about No one admits they’re wrong When singing the same song Can we cure this disease Of our guilty reprise Fan the flame upon your name It’s all the same, so turn the blame New days. New thread. Opposing opinions are leaving us for dead We guilt, this city Until there’s nothing left of all humanity Everyone says you’re wrong While singing the same song Will we cure this disease Of our guilty reprise Fan the flame upon your name It’s all the same, so turn the blame Fan the flame upon your name It’s all the same, so turn the blame

CHEMICAL EMBRACE Hideaway before calamities engage And lead you astray Warning signs, oh you’ve seen them every time, it’s no surprise... That you find, your grace in a chemical embrace You find your place with a chemical embrace Routine, malevolent and indiscreet, Set your burdens free Oh you can’t ignore, you’ve nothing to wait for, right your wrongs and change the lore Or rewind, the tape with a chemical embrace To find your place with a chemical embrace Chemical embrace With a chemical embrace

about

This project started off as a 6-song EP, but I made a New Year's Resolution to write a song per month. Well, I ended up writing 9 more songs in the span of about 5 months, 7 of which were recorded for this album, hence the 13-track LP.

Like a lot of other music projects out there, I'm sure, the pandemic put a halt on the album's progress for multiple months, but the drums were recorded on 2 random days (6 songs on the 1st day, and 7 on the second...Ben is a BEAST!) Mixed September '20-February '21.

On this record you will find songs about social media landscapes, politics, love, and loss, among other things.

Recommended if you like:
Thrice, Torche, Shiner, Failure, etc.

Loud rock music. Turn it up.

Special thanks to my wife for hearing these songs in every stage of existence and being the strongest support beam a guy could ask for.
Thank you to Eddie for taking on the task of an LP after only an EP was discussed ;) <3. Thank you to Ben for pummeling the hell out of the drums and slathering these tunes with that sweet sauce they needed. Thank you to everyone that listened to demos, watched riff videos, etc. I appreciate it more than I could type right here.

And you!...Well, you've made it this far in the credits, and that's pretty friggin' cool of you. Thank you for taking the time to listen to my music on this thing called "The World Wide Web AKA The Internet". You are the real MVP.
